As part of the offline project Solitude, Amy Sillman selected 14 images from work created during the Covid-19 pandemic (2020-2021). Together with a list of 100 possible recipients and brief instructions, she bundled everything into a unique set of postcards.

“During the pandemic the world itself seemed somewhat imaginary. But “mail art” became more vital. The post office was our circulatory system. I made a list of 100 elements (things in the world), and then envisioned a list of 100 recipients (a population) to receive them.  (…) These people and things are like dots on a diagram that is only actualized when you draw in the lines. I leave that to chance, to you– whoever participates in this little game. (…) In this way you activate a small mysterious system, and the start of some conversations that I have only imagined.” Amy Sillman
