Collection

Started in 1972, every resident-artist donated up to three works to the collection of the Frans Masereel Centrum. With more than 20,000 pieces, it has grown into a significant archive for contemporary forms of printed matter.

In the near future, the collection will be made accessible to researchers who will be able to study the collection on site, as well be shown to the public at certain occasions in the form of exhibitions.

For specific questions about our collection and its research purposes, you can contact our collection department via info[at] fransmasereelcentrum [dot] be.

Unfortunately we cannot help you with questions about the appraisal of prints who bare the Frans Masereel Centrum’s mark (embossed into the paper or an ink stamp on the back) or specific questions about the artistic work of Frans Masereel.
