In het kader van het offline project Solitude selecteerde Amy Sillman 14 beelden uit het werk dat ontstaan was tijdens de Covid-19-pandemie (2020-2021). Samen met een lijst van 100 mogelijke ontvangers en beknopte instructies bundelde ze alles tot een unieke set postkaarten.

“During the pandemic the world itself seemed somewhat imaginary. But “mail art” became more vital. The post office was our circulatory system. I made a list of 100 elements (things in the world), and then envisioned a list of 100 recipients (a population) to receive them.  (…) These people and things are like dots on a diagram that is only actualized when you draw in the lines. I leave that to chance, to you– whoever participates in this little game. (…) In this way you activate a small mysterious system, and the start of some conversations that I have only imagined.” Amy Sillman
