Every four years, various cities compete for the right to host the Olympic Games. A logo is designed as part of the corresponding visual communication, although it hardly ever gets used. Even the city that eventually wins the bid usually ends up designing their own version of the logo. Betsy Bickle designed these swim bags in the context of the exhibition Which Mirror Do You Want to Lick? (Brno Biënnale, 2016) and WMDYWTL? (Frans Masereel Centrum, 2019) using unused logo’s from Doha, Prague, Baku, Chicago, Tokyo, Madrid and Rio de Janeiro.
