Hibernus #2

period: 24.03.2024 → 24.03.2025

Hibernus #2 reconnects with a tradition that goes back to a historical proposal by Jef Geys to publish a folder with work by four artists, for which he invited Marcel Broodthaers in 1972, among others.

In recent months, Marina Pinsky, Jacqueline Peeters, Ken Verhoeven and Melissa Gordon each created brand new work in the specialized studios of the Frans Masereel Centrum. The different editions will be shown for the first time during Open Masereel on Sunday, March 24, 2024 and will be available for sale in very limited editions.

Each of the four creations is conceived as an autonomous artistic project, with room for unforeseen developments and original ideas. This results in deepening proposals, each of which starts from an artistic urgency and a curiosity for what does not yet exist.
