Metaverse Landscapes offers an inspiring insight into the most recent research by New Zealand artist Simon Denny (°1982). The advance of technologies and concepts such as blockchain, metaverse and NFT is the reason for the artist to talk about digital scarcity, property rights and network structures. Thanks to a number of historical loans, the exhibition also offers the opportunity to place our contemporary visual culture within a broader perspective and to test it against the abstract visual language of early modernism as well as colonial visual strategies.
A warm welcome for our opening brunch on Sunday July 2 starting from 10h30 with a guided tour by the artist and music by H.O.D. and Husband Material.
For those who are visiting by car: our parking is located that day at the intersection of Masereeldijk and Heiblok.Free entrance, no need to rsvp.
