Space for artist collectives, master students and art critics

For the third year in a row, we make our studios available to a diverse group of artist collectives in the fall. They come to work on a contemporary print-related project in our specialized studios for ten days.

From our open call, the following collectives were selected:

Mecones (Sweden) – Zut Mon Sac (Netherlands) – KALF (Belgium) – Hold It Up Collective (UK) – Moilesautresart (Luxembourg) – Barbara Collé & Uta Neumann (NL) – Marta Velasco & Sara Torres (Spain) – Uitgegeven Ingeverij (BE) – Ellen Meers & Jef Staut (BE) – Salka og Tóta / Salka and Tóta (Iceland)

September 22 also kicks off the second edition of our Art Criticism Week. Eight promising critics will immerse themselves for a week in workshops, exhibitions and writing opportunities while staying with artists from HISK at our arts center. The selected writing talent:

Febe Lamiroy, Jacob Lambrecht, Louise Souvagie, Margot De Grave Loyson, Marthe Bonnez, Rojda Karakus, Thomas Rasker and Marijn Bril.

We also welcome several groups of master students affiliated with following institutions of Higher Art Education:

HISK (BE) – Arts Academy of the University of Split (Croatia) – Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts (China) – School of Visual Arts (Boston University, USA) – Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten (BE) – Hogeschool PXL-MAD (BE)
