On the occasion of the survey exhibition Лук Бук (Look Book), Slavs and Tatars produced three new editions, which are available in limited numbers in our bookshop.
There are two versions of their ‘Nations’ series: a series of aphorisms celebrating the linguistic, ethnic and political events at the heart of Eurasia. These prints serve as an icebreaker for a region of several years of history, often seen as obscure in our forgetful times.
…and a special golden edition of ‘Pickle Tits’, exploring the fermentation process as a central metaphor for the multifaceted nature of political arguments through notions of the rotten, the spoiled and the soured. “Culturally, fermentation is considered a simple practice that is cheap, accessible and convenient,” according to Slavs and Tatars, “but it is a complex and transfigurative process.”
