The company Olivier Michel seeks neither speed nor prowess, it reflects the importance of the duration of the incompressible time in which an artwork is finished.
For his residency at the Frans Masereel Centre, Olivier Michel chose a simple gesture: small cross, which he uses repetitively in various prints. Silkscreen printing allows him to reproduce the same pattern indefinitely and by little shifts, movements and colour variations, he reveals masses.
Working in green hues, each print is reminiscent of an abstract landscape: a carpet of green.
