The intention for my two-weeks-stay at Frans Masereel Centrum was to get a deeper insight into different printing techniques. I brought some sketches, copies and ideas and a lot of interest with me, but had no greater knowledge about typo, silkscreen print or lith printing. During the first week of my residency in Kasterlee I learned, prepared and watched a lot. During the second week I worked on a larger edition of silk screen prints, that is related to my work Ein Stoff fällt vom Himmel (2013), I did two stone lith prints (called Meilensteine and SPEKTRUM*Sammlung Blatt #17 - tryout) and some small tests with the type setting machine. For me it was a very inspiring two-weeks stay in wonderful company and a perfect preparation for my six-weeks-stay at Frans Masereel Centrum in the beginning of next year.
