How can a photographic image evolve over time? This is an ongoing interest in my visual and performative work, where I look for the tension and interference between the fixed image and life situation.
In Frans Masereel Centrum I used various print and acid techniques in specific conditions whereby a printed image is only visible for a certain period of time. Images that record time and direct the impermanence. In short, a study of the physical performative power of the image. Since the residency, the right products and proportions enable me to let an image gradually disappear over a period of several days.
