Caitlin Cass

Caitlin Cass makes comics, prints, drawings and museums that folklorize the Western Canon. While in residence at Frans Masereel Centrum she completed a series of 11 narrative etchings called Contribution.  Contribution depicts the cyclical struggle of some young academics as they consume books, digest them (quite literally) and pile their “achievements” atop an ever-growing pile of cast-off inventions, awards and domestic bric-a-brac. Those that make it to top are rewarded the opportunity to dive from the tower and begin again.
