Residencies '19

Aleksandra Chaushova

Aleksandra Chaushova (BG) born 1985 in Sofia, and lives and works in Brussels. Her practice is diverse, including graphic printing, illustration, writing and painting. Her works have been exhibited at WIELS Center for Contemporary Art, Brussels Art Factory, Albus Lux gallery (NL) and Dorothea Schlueter gallery (DE). In 2010 she participated in the WIELS residency program. She was one of the nine artists selected for the show ReSiDuE at WIELS in 2013. After being a guest student at Kunstakademie Dusseldorf in the class of Lucy McKenzie in the autumn of 2012, she’s currently doing a PhD in Art and art sciences at the Free University of Brussels in collaboration with ENSAV La Cambre.
