Pieter Huybrechts has been working for some time on his own form of photography, which places a focus on the landscape in our way of looking. He is currently working on the ‘Stedenplan’, documenting aspects of various cities (Dubai, Ho Chi Minh City, Teheran, etc.) in diverse photographic ways. For the last five years, he has been collaborating with Erki de Vries on the BookProject, in which images are set in scene.
In the Frans Masereel Centre, Huybrechts is working on the design of a book. In the book, the city is shown in an atypical rhythm. This will not be the usual series of images, nor the reproduction of an exhibition, but rather an autonomous work. The images are printed on different types of paper, using a range of techniques, so that each image is given its own apposite foundation.
He is also working with Erki De Vries on a second book, Book 2 CCM 2800 within the BookProject.
