During my stay at the Frans Masereel Centre I tried to establish a dialogue between paper, ink and screen. The subject of this conversation was the presence of the so called death mask of l’Inconnue de la Seine, centralized in the work of writers such as Maurice Blanchot and Louis Aragon. It seems to be an embodiment of death, which creates the condition for writing. At the same time I had my reservations about the legitimacy of the surrounded cult of beauty - which seems to be expressed in the literature. During the proces of screenprinting, I’ve tried to use these point of views and thoughts. The result of my work-time is a book-object with screen elements that refer to these matter.
